Frequently Asked Questions

Our answers to your most commonly asked questions.

What are the rules for ADU construction where I live?

Most county zoning codes allow the establishment of a small, second dwelling on the same parcel of land as a new or existing principal dwelling. This privilege does not exist for all zones. Check with your county’s building permit center to see if your zoning classification allows for this extra dwelling unit.
